Special lasers for quick material analysis

In cooperation with Litron Lasers we supply laser systems for fast material analysis using LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy). This method uses a pulsed laser beam with output energy of less than 1J/pulse and is based on the interaction of the laser pulse with the sample surface. During which the delivered energy  is evaporated and a small amount of material creates a luminous plasma, in which radiation the spectral lines of vaporized elements are contained.

litron-lpy707-21-06-13-04blkghostLitron Lasers is a specialist in the design and manufacture of pulsed Nd:YAG lasers, PIV Nd:YAG lasers, DPSS Nd:YAG, CW Nd:YAG lasers and true TEM00 lasers. As well as an extremely comprehensive range of standard products Litron offers the expertise to produce complex custom Nd:YAG and other solid-state laser systems.

The advantage of LIBS method is its simplicity and flexibility, which makes it possible to analyse directly at the monitored object, and so in the certain stage of the manufacturing process or in a certain period of the device operation. The systems allow to analyze very small samples using beam focused on the sample in the track of the size of tens of micrometers, or large samples distant tens to hundreds of meters from the apparatus.
